Capability Analysis and Tolerance Intervals in Quality

Join us for an engaging overview of capability analysis and tolerance intervals. During this presentation, we will cover tools that are essential in determining if your products meet customer requirements. We’ll discuss capability analysis in detail, including estimates of process variation in the short-term and long-term, testing data for normality using a probability plot, and verifying process stability using control charts. Formulas for estimating Cp, Pp, Cpk and Ppk will be discussed, including appropriate interpretation, only after validating the assumptions for the analysis. An overview of options for handling non-normal data, such as selecting an alternate distribution or transforming the data, will also be provided. Lastly, this presentation will include helpful tips for applying a tool that has recently gained popularity in manufacturing: tolerance intervals.
