This is a new approach intended to reach as many local professionals as possible without them dealing with the hassle of fighting traffic. Workshop Leader’s Biography:

James J. Rooney

Jim Rooney is currently the Chair of the ASQ Healthcare Division and Chair of the Awards Board. Jim is a Past Chair of the ASQ Board of Directors. He is an ASQ Fellow, a reviewer for Quality Progress magazine, a columnist for Six Sigma Forum magazine, and Associate Editor for The Journal for Quality and Participation. He holds 10 ASQ certifications.

Jim is the Director of Training Services for the Safety, Risk, and Compliance Division of ABS Group. He has more than 40 years of experience in root cause analysis, quality, risk assessment, and process safety management for highly-regulated industries such as the chemical process, pharmaceutical, petroleum, medical device, and nuclear power industries.

He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia, his master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee (thesis and course work in risk analysis), and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.
