Blog Update: 10/22/2008
Greetings to all! Fall is in the air and our Education Committee has met twice since Labor Day and have some new tasks to move us forward into 2009. I've started to compile a list of educational opportunities you can plan for in the coming months. Let me know if it is helpful for you. The committee is hoping to have some help from you, our membership, so we can be fiscally aware to those who would like to attend refresher courses.
We are currently developing an application process for local instructors for classes or courses we are going to offer to support the certification process. The Seattle Section are committed to providing the quality of instruction that people have come to expect from ASQ. In the short term, continue to contacted either myself or other Section Leadership with a desire to teach any upcoming Certification or Refresher classes we may be planning. If you are interested, please email a cover letter and resume to education@asq-seattle.org. Our group is looking forward to hearing from you as we compile our teaching resource list.
We also would like to offer facilities for Webinars that are offered by ASQ. Please contact us if your company or someone you knows has capability and space. This will provide us the ability to provide topic-specific training not offered locally to our membership.
An update of the Refresher courses - Training material review is underway to support the CQM/OE, CQA, CQE & SSBB Body of Knowledges. Target date for offerings will be to support the June exam dates in 2009.
Please contact me if you would to be a part of the team. I look forward to an excellent year of Making Good Great tm!
